Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Last year, my mom and I walked the Susan G. Komen Lowcountry Race for the Cure for the first time together. It was so heartwarming to see thousands upon thousands of people walking side by side to raise money for such a worthwhile cause. And it was even more meaningful to me to have my mom, a survivor, walking with me.

This year, we are racing towards a goal of $5,000! We hope you will join our team and walk with us on October 18, 2008 on Daniel Island for this years Race for the Cure! When you join the team, you can help spread the word and raise money by asking friends and family to donate under your name to the Race for the Cure.

Up to 75 percent of net proceeds generated by the Komen Lowcountry Affiliate stay in our 12-county service area while the remaining income goes to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Award and Research Grant Programs supporting research, awards and educational and scientific programs around the world.
